Sunflower honey: nature’s sunny gold

Sunflower honey is an accessible yet often underestimated variety. Bright as the sun in colour, aroma and flavour, it is gathered by bees from flowering sunflower fields. It offers a natural source of support during tiredness, the autumn blues and colds.

🐝 Origin and characteristics

  • Nectar source: sunflower (Helianthus annuus)

  • Harvest period: July to August

  • Region: widespread in the plains and steppe areas of Azerbaijan and other sunny regions

👁️‍🗨️ Appearance and taste

  • Colour: bright yellow to golden amber

  • Aroma: light, with notes of pollen and fresh grass

  • Taste: sweet and slightly astringent, with a faint acidity

❄️ Crystallisation

Sunflower honey crystallises very quickly - within 1-2 months of harvest. This is a natural process. Once crystallised, it develops a fine-grained, creamy texture.

  • 🔥 Anti-inflammatory properties

  • 🦠 Helps during colds and viral illnesses

  • 💓 Supports the heart and blood vessels

  • ⚙️ Supports metabolism

  • 🌿 Supports liver and intestinal function

🥄 How to use it

  • ✅ In the morning, in warm water on an empty stomach

  • ✅ In tea, provided it is not hot

  • ✅ With cottage cheese, cheese or porridge

  • ✅ In baking and desserts

  • ✅ In face masks, especially for oily skin

📦 Who is it for?

  • For everyday enjoyment at home

  • For people under physical or mental demands

  • For school-age children

  • Do not add to boiling water, to preserve its beneficial qualities
